Re: Latest rom compatibilty list

I've made a new list of recommendations to go with the 3.71 release having a couple of new emulators. 1670 games on the list. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6UOezdjM-2CQzkzZWdDYTV1SG8 Is there an update of this list? And why is the proper mame-NNN folder not mentioned? This list is not very cle...

Re: RPI 4 which version

Hi dee2eR, thanks for giving some insights in what you are facing when working on the newer versions of the ARpiCade distribution. Really appreciated you go through all this work to figure out how to get it working on the PI4. I did not know the architecture of the PI4 is a bit of a mess. You probab...

Re: RPI 4 which version

Thanks a lot Dee2er.... I did not know that there were multiple revisions. it seems that the PI4 is a bit of a mess. It seems there are several PI4 B revisions: Revision 1.1 - Issue with some USB-C cables i.e. Apple (requires an extra resistor) Revision 1.2 - All new 2GB and 4GB (USB-c fix) Revision...

RPI 4 which version

Hi all,

I want to change the RPI 3B+ for a PI4, the question is what model should I buy?

Does it help in terms of performance to buy the 8GB Model B?

Ps. is there a photo of the ARpiCADE board with a PI4?
I guess I need some other cable for the HDMI solution ?

Cheers...

Re: Narrow Game or Game in Half??

Hi, I figured the narrowing only happens with AdvanceMame. I finally got it working. It is a bit weird actually. I have to set the attract menu to hi-res interlaced. Then suddenly AdvanceMame is spread across the screen. Verticals like Pengo, Pac Man, 1942 are suddenly ok-ish. Not perfect but playab...

Re: Insert coins end up in exit game (P1 hold timer issue)

Which part of the system is responsible for this 3 sec hold mechanism?
Is there an application doing this?

Insert coins end up in exit game (P1 hold timer issue)

Hi, I bump into a practical issue when inserting a lot of coins. Let's say 10 coins. When you do this you will hold the button P1 and then press and release BUTTON1. Then it inserts one coin. Logically you press and release BUTTON1 again and still holding P1, another coins inserts, and you repeat th...

Re: 4 or 8 way indication (really desired)

Thanks a lot for looking into this.
If this can be done even in a easy or practical manner it would be great.

4 or 8 way indication (really desired)

I've got a nice collection of games on my ARpiCADE system (thanks to Dee2er), but some games are unplayable. And it is most of the time related to the 4 or 8 way setting of the joystick. It would be really great if I know the game needs to be switched, I don't need servostick stuff, but at least if ...
