I though i should share this something i only recently found out you could do in this awesome game The neogeo bios can be accessed in mame172 via the menu dipswitch settings For games like viewpoint (neogeo) this means you can play with 2 players simultaneously! here's how to do this: in the game, p...

Attract in 640/480 but with a 240p Horizontal setup
I was wondering if it woud be possible to have attract launch (correctly centered) in 640x480 This makes everything look better than 240P Horizontal (hdmi group 1 mode 8 in config.txt) I tried setting hdmi group 1 mode 1 (640x480)and that works but the attract screen is not centered anymore Is it po...

Re: Dragon Blaze advance mame
found another way to run this game eventually: In the lr-fba-next the sound is choppy, could not get it to work either with latest 0.97.42 BUT..it DOES work flawless in 0.97.29 (fb-alpha2012)..aha! :-) I copied over the fbalpha2012 core folder from my old retropie-build to arpicade core folder, load...

Re: Dragon Blaze advance mame
what is strange is i see that there is some code in the advmame.sh script that should prevent vertical games from being stretched:
#we don't want full width stretching for a vertical game
if [ $rot == 90 ] || [ $rot == 270 ]; then
export -n SDL_DISPMANX_IGNORE_RATIO=1

Re: no more controls available when switching from mame172 to advmame
marking this as solved by myself for now, i modified the mame172 mame.ini file and set keyboardprovider raw instead of auto I guess since advmame uses sdl for the keyboard input and mame172 auto-defaults to the same that the issue was due to that, not sure but seems fixed now. (Please note I am usin...

Re: ARpiCADE 3.8 Release!
think i found the issue with controls lost in advmame after switching back from a mame172 game
In mame172's mame.ini file i modified the following:
keyboardprovider "auto" -> "raw"
that seem to have solved it, more testing needed but so far so good

Re: ARpiCADE 3.8 Release!
