Have you tried Raspberry OS on it?
May try that first and let it update. Maybe you miss some firmware updates.

I tested Neo geo games and Dodonpachi and there the button mapping was wrong. In Street fighter CE the button mapping is correct.
I figured out how to remap the buttons and saved it.

I flashed my SD card again with 4.3 and did the update but the issue is still there. The button mapping is wrong in FBA. It seems the remap configuration is wrong. My fba controls are messed up. Probably my mistake. But I can't get them mapped correctly anymore.
Do you have a control config file or something what I can put back on the sd card to have it correctly again.

Found a slight performance increase for MAME 203 and 230. In /home/pi/mame203/mame.ini and /home/pi/mame230/mame.ini find the section labled 'OSD VIDEO OPTIONS' and change 'video' from 'auto' to 'accel' Seems to make a bigger difference for 203 but both are improved from my testing. If I press the service button on my cab I can do the rom scan. But I can't get out of the service menu without rebooting or shutting down. Is this normal or am I missing a button combination? Also how do I run naomi/atomiswave games? I know they don't run properly but just for some testing. I downloaded some naomi/atomiswave games from mame 0229 pack and put them in the naomi folder.
