Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Oof...real life happened there in a very hard way. I'm sorry I've been OOTL/not contributing for the last 4 months or so. Anyway, I'm back home and I've been wanting to get down to some major games testing with 4.3. I figure one of the better ways to do this would be to live-stream my cabinet on Twi...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Semi-random question while we're on the topic of screen resolutions and the Pi4/ARpiCADE 4.3 - can the two separate mini HDMI outputs be set for different output resolutions (i.e., one mini HDMI feeding the RaspberryJAMMA but the other mirror-feeding an LCD TV or capture card at 720 or some such)? G...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
F11 if I remember what Dee2er posted earlier. Yep, that did it. Thank you. :) Did a bit of a longer-duration test of running the Pi 4 in "big overclock" mode. Played about 45 minutes of Under Defeat and then another 30 minutes of Mushihimesama back-to-back and never got the overheating icon. I did ...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Emboldened by your successes I decided to experiment a bit myself. I've got passive heatsinks on my Pi 4 4GB, and uncommented out the "big" overclocking settings (interestingly, the "normal" OC settings don't seem to have a line for GPU OC-ing...is the CPU bottlenecking, or the GPU?). I then threw o...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Interesting to hear AdvMAME supports the newer Cave stuff, I had no idea. It turns out it doesn't, and I'm an idiot. I'd mixed up some folders and long story short I'd been running .172 the entire time, and it was my own perspective bias that showed the slight differences. So ignore all that CAVE A...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
You got me thinking about the CAVE stuff (it had been a long time since I did my initial testing and at the time I was even more green to this stuff than I am now), so I decided to do a more proper test across a selection of CAVE shooters. I also took the time to rebuild romsets for .230, .172, and ...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Finally got around to updating to 4.3; as this seems to be considered a more "completed" version of ARpiCADE for Pi 4 I figured I'd list off a few of my admittedly trivial issues I've discovered thus far. Note that at this time I've done no testing with P2 controls and my machine (a Capcom Impress w...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.2
Just as a heads-up, Naomi games don't appear to be saving Service Menu settings (such as setting free-play) on exit. Not sure it's necessarily a bug with 4.2 or anything, but I figured it's best to mention it here rather than start a new thread.

Re: ARpiCADE 4.2, QSound Audio, and Volume - How?
That totally worked; thank you for the assistance. The idea to use a passive in-line volume adjustment is a good one as well. Unfortunately I'm having other issues now (TONS of noise that's now louder than the game audio) but I think that's more an issue with ground loop or something hardware-relate...

ARpiCADE 4.2, QSound Audio, and Volume - How?
I recently acquired a RaspberryJAMMA adapter and a Pi 4; currently running ARpiCADE 4.2. I have one single MAME ROM loaded to my SD card as a test bed (Espgaluda) and my monitor is in vertical orientation. The game runs and plays fine. However, I'm having audio issues. My cabinet is a Capcom Impress...
