Wanted to note I also used to have this problem but after a software update (pi3) and re-copying all my laserdisc related files the audio is working fine in DL1

we basically found for some weird reason if I plug in a power cable to the Pi everything works as expected. It's almost as if the 5v isn't doing much at all to power the board. For now my dirty solution is just not relying on the 5v from the harness and powering the Pi from the wall. Everything see...

So today I installed the latest image and then also copied over the update on a new micro SD, and put it into the new Pi4 which I put put into the arpicade (swapping out the pi3). So I get it plugged into my Double Dragon machine, turn everything on.. aaaand my screen is blank. This was working fine...

Update: OK, I discovered that advMAME does not want to load .7z files or even folders containing the ROMs in advMAME for Windows. Thanks for the reply! I had noticed that list earlier but wanted to get experimental. Now I've taken a step back and added wow, moonwalk, and journey to the advmame folder.
