Re: Sega Astro City

SEGA made them well, much nicer than most of the stuff that is made currently (at least what I've seen). The conversion to PC was done sensibly from what I can see, should be easy to put back to JAMMA board use. If you want to fly me to QLD to sort it out for you we can probably sort that out, but D...

Re: Sega Astro City

OK looks like you still have JAMMA wiring and from what I can see it is largely intact. Can't tell from the pics but if the cab has a JAMMA power supply you only need to adjust a few wires for the buttons and you should be good to go. You'd be removing the PC and the J-PAC so the few wires that are ...

Re: Sega Astro City

have asked for access to the drive.

Also responded via email but having issues sending to gmail address from that email. Yours returned and rather than try again I figured reply here.

Re: Help with Vertical Config...

try commenting out:
overscan_left=33
overscan_right=32

in config.txt. Otherwise it all looks OK, maybe the monitor has an adjustment to fix it, I haven't seen that on an LCD before.

Re: DISable Freeplay on RetroArch

Can't remember offhand but it may be in the service menu for the game rather than a dipswitch.

Which emulator and ARpiCADE version are you using for the game? I can check it out further if needed.

Re: RaspberryJAMMA support Batocera?

You'll need to use 240p, 256p, 288p or 480i (or other interlaced low res), depending on RPI model you're also forced to use a super resolution (a very wide pixel ratio res that scales common widths well, 1920 wide is common) for hardware reasons. There's no one low resolution that was used by arcade...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 beta2 - for RPi4 or RPi5

No Blitz unfortunately but there are other games that play better on Pi5 than we have been able to run them before. Games that were nearly there on Pi4 like lots of PS1 based arcade games, late model Cave, Naomi 2 etc. are now good. Lots of games can now run in newer MAME for the improvements that b...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 beta2 - for RPi4 or RPi5

@mappy24 both those games should be supported by 251, I just checked on the command line - didn't actually run the games so there maybe some other issue. EDIT: tried them both in 251, no good as the emulation isn't complete. You could try compiling newer MAME if you want to add it. 251 was installed...

Re: ARpiCADE_3 v11

Sorry for the slow reply.

There are some differences to 3.X but you're better off keeping 3.X if it works on your Pi. This release was a quicky just to get the new version of RPi3 (just a hardware revision) work as it wouldn't boot on 3.X.

I guess I should do a write up of this release...

Re: How To Change Mame094 Games From Vertical To Horizontal Mode

not sure offhand, but you're almost definately looking in the right direction. If it's not some logical mistake or command line setting in the launcher it is likely to be a setting file in /home/pi/.advance/ (I can't remember offhand but 094 has a config file called something like advmame094.rc) - i...
