Re: ARpiCADE_5 beta2 - for RPi4 or RPi5

MAME 0.251 runs great for most stuff on Pi5. It's surprisingly good on Pi4 too. RA MAME has an extra frame of input processing compared to vanilla MAME, I can add the core back but I wouldn't recommend it over vanilla. MAME 0.172 and later have next frame response, depending on the game (based on th...

Re: Donut Dodo

I've attached a zip with a couple of files to this post to overwrite on /boot/ (of ARpiCADE_4 v3.2) to make DonutDodo work as a dedicated board on Pi3. The run.sh script is assuming you have the Donut Dodo files in /boot/DonutDodo. You will need to adjust the picture width on your monitor chassis, i...

Re: Issues with MAME 139 Setting Controls

Unffortunately the version of 0.139 in use doesn't use MAMEs menus for controls. You can edit the controls but need to use the RA menus (F1) and it's a bit of a pain.

What are you running in 139? It's not that useful a MAME version in my experience.

Re: Donut Dodo

I'd be happy to help you set it up or build a SD card for you if you need. If you want to try it yourself start by downloading the base image for ARpiCADE_4 v3.2, there's more to be done but you'l need that on an SD card to continue. I can help with the scripting once you have the base image ready. ...

Re: Emulator support on ARpiCADE.

Hi, at the most basic level all you need is to copy some software that is built for whichever Pi version you're using to the ARpiCADE SD card and point Attract-Mode at the relevant directories and exes (can be done from inside Attract-Modes menus). Often software built for other RaspiOS based images...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 beta2 - for RPi4 or RPi5

Give it a try without any changes after burning the SD card again. If that works just exit to the service menu and select whichever vert mode you want. I've had another similar report on the previous beta release but I was only able to replicate it by moving partitions around and breaking something....

Note: all that is necesary is to comment out or uncomment the lines, they are already in the file...

Re: Thinking of installing in my Multi-Williams cab- need advice

It could be a very good choice but I'm the wrong person to ask if there are better options as I make this one (and am biased). As far as I'm aware there's no more customisable JAMMA solution than this, plus I've provided nearly ten years of free software upgrades and support. Setup wise it's as easy...

Re: Adjusting ARpiCADE Screen Size?

There should be adjustments on your monitor accessable through your monitors controls/OSD. Possibly even an auto adjust button (*it may or may not do a good job).
