Re: Switch back to MAME2003 and how to force refresh to 60
Fair enough. Yeah deleteing the lines will also work. Let me know how it goes. You're in luck with the launcher for 078. I just checked and it has the old MAME2003 version commented out including refering to it's own config file (that I have left, I just checked). If you check out the launcher scrip...

Re: Switch back to MAME2003 and how to force refresh to 60
I'm sure both are possible but I don't have an easy answer offhand for either. I think lr-MAME2003 (regular version) is still installed (I'd have to check to be sure at this point) and it may be as easy as adjusting the launcher to use that core rather than 2003-plus. BUT... there maybe issues with ...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
I have Mario Bros. in 172 but this is the first I've heard of there being a score related audio glitch. I don't think I've played it beyond seeing it was running seemingly well. 203 could be worth a try but essentially I'm not sure. Please post your results if you find anything... I might try 203 an...

Re: Daphne Setup
/home/pi/.daphne/ has the logfile in it.
Checking my own setup i have a file called lair.dat that it looks like you don't have, perhapps that is something to do with it not running on the Pi. Unfortunately I'm not really sure...

Re: Using stock Simpsons harness?
Why doesn't the 3 and 4 player harness' fit? It should be able to work with the standard wiring, at least, it was intended to have the same pinout, pitch etc.

Re: rom location/folder
You can change the Attract-Mode (the front end software) layout(s) from within the frontend. Once it has booted and you're at the game selection menu press 'tab' on keyboard or the cab test button/switch to open Attract-Modes menus. Navigate to the option 'Displays', then select the display you want...

Re: Refresh or Sync problem with some games
It seems to be fine on my test bench, tested on MAME 0.172, ARpiCADE 3.X.1, vertical in both default low res & 240p only settings. You may be able to adjust the sync pot(s) on your monitor chassis to sort it out, failing that I can help you adjust the res switch script so it uses something close to ...

Re: rom location/folder
OK I think I've figured out your issue. Thankfully HSS mentioned it to me this morning and said you were using the pre-alpha 4.4 release. I had assumed you were using 4.3. You are only the second person I have heard with the Pi4 won't boot on 4.3 issue and I hadn't yet heard if 4.4 was working on th...

Re: rom location/folder
If you want the parent roms to show just remove them from the arcade_hide array in /boot/launchers/ScanRoms_V007.sh -- if you're editing files on WIndows get Notepad++ as the built in Windows editors can cause issues. They're in there by default so the games don't appear twice on 2 player setups... ...

Re: rom location/folder
parent roms are simpsons.zip tmnt.zip and tmnt2.zip the 2player roms all have 2p added to the names. EDIT: from your PM it sounds like you may also be using the wrong romsets for various MAME versions. If a rom works in 0.106 (advmame) it may not work in 0.172 due to changes made to the set over the...
