Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5

You will need to run DonutDodo once without the hotkeys running to set up the inputs, once it's set right it should work with the hotkeys running too but they interfere with the input setup part. You can run it from the command line directly (not using the launcher script) to run the game without th...

Re: Adding Mame 0.220 to existing Rpi-arpicade

Depending on what Pi you have it may not run great. If you have a Pi4 or 5 it may... Although if you have a RPi5 you may as well spend the same time converting the romset you have to one of the newer alrready supported MAMEs using Romcenter or similar software. To add a MAME version you will need to...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5

Depending on when you bought the board it may already have a 2.5A fuse, I've been using them for at least 5 years now. If those DACs you have found work on low res they shoudl be fine, some DACs don't do low res - depends on the chips inside. You can also just adapt the DAC you already have with HDM...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5

Testiment to arpicade, I have 4 MiSTers, 2 setups of PC with JPAC and heaps of unreliable jamma boards, I come back to my cabs after 3 years, guess which one works like a champ? Arpicade Pi 3b+. So got excited and got a Pi 5, however MAME .172 buttons are not working. Player one start button doesnt...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5

Just tried out the Pi5 build with mame .269 really good, few things on wishlist and questions: 1. MAME .269 updater does not create a mame-269 folder in the boot partition, might be a good idea to make it do that. 2. Since we have donut dodo and fixit felix, any chance to have this on here as well?...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5

It's been a minute since I've looked at the raspberryjamma for a pi upgrade. It's just been running in my aero cities using the original 3b+ What is required to get a pi5 installed on my raspberryjamma? Would I just need a mini hdmi to vga converter? Yeah, all you should need is a micro HDMI adapto...

Re: RaspberryJamma

The full RaspberryJAMMA can do either low res or high res out, there's also a mini version that is only for high res (has no video on JAMMA at all). HDMI works fine but it can be easier to use VGA as it lets you get the audio out of the DAC as well (some monitors have an output that can be fed back ...

Re: Street fighter EX2

DC and Naomi are about as hard as each other to emulate. There's no DC emulator included in the ARpiCADE_3 branch of the software. Pi4 and Pi5 are the way to go for that stuff. I'm yet to find any real difference in RAM amounts on Pi5, at least as far as emulating arcade games goes they all work abo...
