Unffortunately the version of 0.139 in use doesn't use MAMEs menus for controls. You can edit the controls but need to use the RA menus (F1) and it's a bit of a pain.

What are you running in 139? It's not that useful a MAME version in my experience.

I'd be happy to help you set it up or build a SD card for you if you need. If you want to try it yourself start by downloading the base image for ARpiCADE_4 v3.2, there's more to be done but you'l need that on an SD card to continue.
