Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Update failed? Moved on from my vertical build to a fresh horizontal build. Used release image and put update in correct folder. Applied update and got normal unlegible info box on left side of screen just like on the vertical build. Hit enter, waited about 30 secs, alt + f4 and it went away and con...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
My list is probably the shortest. Im 57. My arcade years started in late 70s earliest I remember is Asteroids. I quit going/playing in the arcades around 88/90. Anything above those years I never played, was never into the fighting games. Im sure theres some great schmups beyond those years but for ...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
I thought mine did the same, I just followed the included readme.txt file and did what it said and it got past that point, seems to hang forever then I remembered Dee2ers instructions.. After that it continued and was perfect.

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Annoyingly, for me who is sick of patching and compiling MAME (and testing/fixing romsets) at the moment, MAME 0.275 supports Primal Rage 2 which is stuck on a reboot loop in 274 and also fixes some bug I didn't even know existed in Strider 2 (I thought it was working in 172 but you can freeze it u...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
I can confirm on my vert build that the cross hatch pattern now fills the screen on my 25" CRT perfectly! The image after the update was upside down but fixed by just rotating in service menu. I did notice that Frizs sd theme seemed to fit almost centered as to now where its still a little low. (Im ...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Dee2er, sure seems like this version has been the most challenging for you... Just wanted to say thanks for your perseverance. Looking forward to the next release. I think I've been using the ARpiCADE since late 2017, early 2018. Love it, even the challenges it gives us users sometimes.

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Across the board on my vertical setup. I've recapped the chassis (awhile ago) and it was ok on v4, still had to tweak pots and got to fit. Its worse on v5. I've recently replaced a rectifier diode (mr856) as I found online where it could be bad and still produce a decent image. Well it was bad, repl...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
I've been trying to do this on my vertical 25" crt. I've adjusted best I can and it seems like it's still about 3/4" off... I was going to go so far as using a different cap (.39 currently). A .47 would shrink my image some. Think I'll wait for a response Dee2er before I go that far...
