I'm not sure what's actually going wrong but it sounds like the exit command is actually working (or nothing would happen) but the menu is not reloading for some reason. I haven't seen this happen or heard of this happening to anyone else before so I'm a bit unsure what to suggest. Do games running ...

I think the high score support is done through the built in LUA scripting in 181. I'll have a look into it tomorrow but I don't think you need to patch it in, that said I'm not sure how it actually works... I haven't used 181 a lot due to the video output being handled differently to the other emula...
