Just received it a few days ago and got everything set up except for buttons 4, 5 and 6, to be fair I haven't actually tried yet but I was confused about it and wanted to double-check before pulling any wires.
My cabinet was originally a Street Fighter 2 and I still have the wires plugged into the kick harness that was plugged into the SF2 PCB. Is there a way to wire them together or if I do need to rewire the buttons is there a specific layout I have to use for the harness?
Question about setting up kick harness

Re: Question about setting up kick harness
Oh, while I'm already opening a topic anyways is there a list somewhere of all the button shortcuts? I couldn't really find one and I feel like most of my other questions could be solved by looking around menus
Re: Question about setting up kick harness
From closest to the JAMMA edge, the kick harness header is wired: p1 4, 5, 6, p2 4, 5, 6 The pinout can be seen in this photo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6UOez ... sp=sharing
If you existing kick harness has unique GNDs you will also need to connect the GNDs under the control panel as the RJ kick harness doesn't carry any grounds. Connecting the GNDs under the control panel will not effect your existing kick harness.
If you like it is fine to y split your current cable and have both headers attached at once (and just use the one that suits the board you're running), I've done that before and it works well. You could also make you kick harness header on a plug of some sort to make it quick and easy to swap between however many kick harness' your collection may require, I've also done that before with good results.
All default buttons shortcuts should be covered in the instructions/FAQ on the SD card in the USER_GUIDE folder (not yet on Pi4 releases as I haven't written Pi4 instructions yet).

Re: Question about setting up kick harness
Thanks for the reply. I'll have to see how the ground is hooked up in the installed one but I think I know what I'm doing now.
Re: Question about setting up kick harness
I just got my arpicade and ordered it with the kick harness. I have a sorta virgin astro city arcade. Can anyone maybe steer me in the right direction on how to wire the kick buttons?
The picture is what I’m working with. Thanks for the help.
