schematic for rassberryjamma pinout

Post by flyingfistofbudha » Sat Oct 02, 2021 8:09 pm

i have two egrets and neither controll panels will work correctly.

1 nothing at all
and the other stutters & stops

i believe the issue is that egrets are wired
without ground pins on B & F of female jamma connection cab side

is ground required on the rassberryjamma at these points?
will lack of ground here be causing the issue?

also egret 2 has 12v on pin 16 & e for the coin counter i believe this needs disabling as can be damaging for the pi?

That is interesting, I hadn't heard of low voltage causing input issues before.

It's the 5v that's critical, 5.15 at the JAMMA edge sounds about perfect for RPi3 or 4. The 12v shouldn't matter at all as it only is used by the audio amp, too high may actually cause the amp to blow - but then 12v is usually not adjustable anyway (in some power supplies it adjusts with the 5v).

Very happy to hear it's all working.
