No problem, I probably won't have time to try it until tomorrow evening anyway, so take your time.

I still have an Arpicade with a RP3+ in my cabinet.

Haven't been keeping up, but if I want to upgrade to a Pi5, is it as simple as switching the Pi3+ out for the new one? I know it also needs a cooler. Anything else to be aware of?

Thank you.

You will need a HDMI to micro HDMI adaptor to suit the micro HDMI on the Pi5. I recommend using one with a short cable rather than the solid type as the solid type can get in the way of the DAC mounting due to its size.

Assuming your cab power wiring is fine and your RaspberryJAMMA has the 2.5A fuse already, you won't need anything else. Just swap out the RPi (and software).

@dee2eR
The 2.5A fuse you installed is what color because I've had my circuit board for several years.
I cannot read the data on the backup, it is unreadable.

The 2.5A ones I use a the moment are greenish. The 2A and 1A used prior to that both look identical and beige-ish (a 2A may well do, 1A definately isn't going to work well with Pi5).

Ok thanks for the Answer.
I'll change the fuse and see if it works better.

After a long time of testing, I no longer get a picture.

Is that after returning from a game after running a bunch of different games? If so I've seen similar, I think it's a bug to do with Attract-Modes resfix plugin, up or down on the joystick should bring the menu up again if it's sitting at a blackscreen. Not using that plugin (you can turn it off in attract-modes menus) also works but then sometimes the picture is setup wrong returning to the menu after the resolution has changed for a game (even though it has also changed back to the original res, if it happens launch another game and return to the menu and usually it's good again)... Unfortunately I don't have a proper fix for it at the moment, need to figure out why it happens first.

If that's not what you're talking about let me know. All the feedback helps, thanks.

No, the problem for me was after a restart to try out the ROMs, I think it has something to do with the backup. After a long break (without power) I get a picture again.
I will also try what you wrote but I'm on vacation at the moment.
