I have an Arpicade with Pi 3 that I've been using on this cabinet and it's been working well. I just swapped the 3 out for a Pi 5 and installed the beta image and this is what I'm seeing:

It looks like there is text but the resolution just isn't compatible with the CRT? Any suggestions to correct this?

So I realized it wasn't booting to the card at all, probably a result of my attempt to resize the boot partition. I reflashed it, and this time I saw the Arpicade splash screen come up, but then it seems to drop down to a prompt, which I can't read. Is there a way to force it to 240p so it's more legible?

And any recommendations on what to do next? All I've done is flash the drive, add maybe 10 games to the arcaderoms mame 251 folder and boot...

It should be in 240p by default. Not sure what's going wrong there.

Which HDMI socket on the RPi5 are you using?

You should be using HDMI-0

That may be everything going wrong.

That did seem to help with the screen resolution, the Arpicade splash screen came up in 240p, but after a few seconds it exited back to a command prompt again. Should I wipe the drive and try running without adding any roms? I'd assume if I go back to the raw image without touching anything it should just work.

EDIT: I did that, I wiped the SD card, reflashed it with BalenaEtcher, didn't do anything else but plug it in and it dropped to the login after the Arpicade splash screen.

May be worth a try. Not sure why adding roms would be an issue with it but sometimes odd things happen.

If you try it again and it still no luck I can upload a newer version. Wasn't planning to do a second beta release, but if it helps I may as well.

If you have another version to try, sure, I'm happy to give it a shot!

It'l be at least a few hours, will have to image and upload etc., it's not exactly ready to go but I have made a little progress since the first beta upload.
