ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
It's to do with the waitvsync/syncrefresh options in the ini file. I'm playing around with options at the moment but the best answer would be to try and add a 61.5hz video mode to it all. Alternatly I will add an extra bit of logic to the launcher to make outside case refresh rates run with slightly different settings.
By changing the following options in /home/pi/mame172/mame.ini you can make qbert stop popping (but probably by making other things less good)
throttle 1
waitvsync 0
syncrefresh 0
EDIT:
what setup are people with audio problems in 172 running? The better way to fix this would be in the launchers as then games that run at (or near enough to) their original refresh rates can still be accurate. On a horizontal monitor setup I fixed Qbert by editing the launcher /boot/launchers/mame172.sh and editing the vertical game on horizontal monitor options to add:
-nowaitvsync -nosyncrefresh -throttle to the existing command

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
So do the ROMs you moved originally get moved back to original ROM folders?FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 4:35 amAudio issue in MAME2003 and FBA rectified...
"AUDIO SYNC" is set to "OFF" by default. You want that to be set to "ON". Changing it to ON for both MAME2003 and FBA rectifies the audio pop/warble issues I was having...

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
If your talking about these settings, no, I havent tried them yet. As far as the video mode your talking about....I dont know how to do that. Another issue I dont know if you can help with or not is Im running the SDArcade v2.2 theme and the games that are in the playstation folder that work fine with AttractMan theme are way over-sized in the SDArcade them, like 2-4 times normal size. (games are Thunder Storm and Road Blaster) All other MAME ROMs launch as they should (the ones Ive tested/played anyway)dee2eR wrote: ↑Fri May 11, 2018 2:04 amIt's to do with the waitvsync/syncrefresh options in the ini file. Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
I haven't had a look at SDArcade 2.2 yet, not sure how it could change the game res though, or do you mean the preview image/video? Maybe an issue with the Playstation launcher, I can look into it further, thanks for the feedback.

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
The snap/video works as it should. When game is launched its I'm guessing twice normal size, all that is visible is the top half of the video. For Example, when Thunder Storm launches and the Thunder Storm logo is on screen you see Thunder and part of the letters below. Here's examples: You should see top, i get bottom filling the screen.

Very odd. What settings are you running the system in? I'll check it out in the same settings.

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
low res horizontal for initial setup. SDArcade I cant find any options for video size or I just dont know where to look and as I said. If I switch back over to AttractMan theme they play as they should. So guessing a setting somewhere or ???
Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
I've got no idea, I'll install the theme and check it out tomorrow. The theme shouldn't be able to effect the rom launcher so I really don't know what's happening. I'll follow up in the thread for the theme as it's not included in 3.82 so it's more useful to talk about it there.
