Resizing partitions (with a Mac)

Post by Marcb » Thu Dec 26, 2024 7:34 pm

Hi all,

I’d like to increase the FAT partition so I can include a few Daphne games but unfortunately I can’t follow the suggested guide because I don’t own a Windows PC.
Just wondering if anyone has been able to resize the partitions on the SD card using a Mac and if so, how did you do it?

**Edit
Doing my head in :D

Have tried using Gparted on a Debian VirtualBox, managed to grow the partition but cannot get it to boot (boots fine before the partition change)
Will try to get Parted running on the Mac and see

Sorry for the slow reply.

Had to dig through a lot of email to find it but I have a Mac guide written by someone else and emailed to me... they were going to post it but I don't know if they ever did a full write up of it anywhere. I've made a 2 page PDF of the relevant bit of the email for you:

MMs guide to resizing ARpiCADE on Mac:

(sorry MM,don't know your username offhand, used initials to credit you rather than your real name for your privacy - let me know if any of this is an issue)

If that doesn't help, possibly try Debian again as a live USB rather than a virtual machine, although I don't know if it would make a difference.
