I know I’ll get some “feedback” on this...but I’m thinking of doing an ArPiCade in my 6p X-men. For as much real estate as it takes up, I feel like I need to get more mileage out of it than 1 game.
Any way to rig an ArPiCade to work with 6 controllers? Is there a 6p X-men rom set even available?
Thx, Steve

Re: X Men 6 Player
With a four player adaptor you would have enough inputs to do it (I think), however doesn't that cab use 2 monitors too?
Re: X Men 6 Player
Yes, two monitors. Ideally I could output to the two monitors, but realistically I may install a 50” tv In their place.
How would 4 inputs work for 6 controllers? I am not too tech savvy....

Re: X Men 6 Player
Unless i'm wrong, it's possible, the game runs fine. Would need to be to one monitor rather than 2, using a modern widescreen would probably be the way to go. (Running a Pi4 to 2 monitors is still not great performance wise due to how it has to happen in software... )
It would take some custom wiring and re-purposing unused buttons of the first four players (to be used for players 5 and 6) but I think it can be done. Players 1 through 4 would have 3 unused buttons each, plus there's an additional six buttons on the four player adaptor that can be exposed to a header if need be... So that's up to 9 inputs available each for player 5 and 6, assuming 4 directions, 3 buttons and coin (and start button if required) it should be enough inputs (just).

Re: X Men 6 Player
Thank you!
I have 6 controllers with 4 connections each, and 6 sets of 3 buttons. Plus one coin-up button. That’s 43. Seem like that would work without too much fuss?
I have 1 ArPiCade already I can use to test. I guess I need a 4 player adapter? If it works I’ll buy another ArPiCade dedicated to that machine.
Thx! Steve
