Dip Switch settings

Post by Skiwee » Thu Apr 05, 2018 4:42 pm

I have looked over the chart on the main site on the dip switch settings. What I am curious about is the 6 buttons on JAMMA setting. I currently run a Pandora's Box 4s+ on my machine and had to modify the harness slightly so that all 6 buttons would work with no kick harness.

Does this setting allow me to use the same harness as the Pandora's box or will I need to un-modify it and run a kick harness?

You will need to de-modify it...

Then what is the point of that setting?

With the RaspberryJAMMA on 6 on JAMMA setting (1 & 2 off, 3 & 4 ON) you shouldn't need to do any mods to your wiring. That is the point of the 6 buttons on JAMMA setting.

You should be good to go.

Just for future readers, setting the dip switch to 6 buttons on JAMMA (1 & 2 off, 3 & 4 ON) DOES work with the Pandora's Box wiring.

And if you have a Pandora's box, spend the money and upgrade to the RaspberryJAMMA. This thing is amazing. No slowdown (on supported games, you are not going to run Gauntlet Legends on this thing but it's close), no screen tearing, choice of games, layout.... man I cannot think of a downside.
