Questions...

Post by FrizzleFried » Thu Dec 07, 2017 10:44 pm

I just received my ArpIcade + RPi from highscore saves...

(1) What is "Hardware Reset Functionality"?

(2) My ArpIcade came with an extender for one of the headers but not the other... and frankly, the extender seems a little short for what it's supposed to be used for... is this normal? Am I only to hook up one of those headers if I want "Hardware Reset Functionality"?

You may want to explain what hardware reset mode functionality... and why it is beneficial on your installation guide. You may also want to indicate as to whether one (and which one) or both of the headers are needed.

You can see in this pic:

that the 2 reset header locations are to suit different models of RPi.

The reset circut is purely optional, it can be useful if you lock the RPi up but is not something you should need to use regularly. The buttons to activate it is in this pic lower left side: https://arpicade.com/wp-content/uploads ... Layout.jpg

You should have recieved the header for the RPi side as well as a 2 pin link to join the RPi and RaspberryJAMMA sides. With both parts the length should be ok, you may need to adjust the link slightly up or down if it doesn't make connections on both sides (it should be ok).
