Thanks - I've been using 7zip for a while, the problem is the download on the arpicade side - it's only 512MB in size. I downloaded the 10-part zip, and that worked (so I have a backup of 3.7 now, sans roms). I used Etcher on a brand new 32GB sd card and it worked, however the instant the image was burnt, Win10 no longer recognized the card (and I've had no luck with Ext2Fsd - that just hangs). Hmmmmm

Thank you! It was a bug. The file downloads correctly now. The plug-in used to control downloads apparently couldn't handle files larger than 512Mb.

Try unplugging and plugging the SD card in again. Sometimes these burners un-mount the card when they are done.

Cheers!

Gotcha...I see it now. Now I'm trying to figure out how to "extend" the fat32 partition to fill up the 22GB unused partition, so I can copy my roms over. Thanks for your help - it's been AGES since I've had to muck with partitioning/etc. Getting senile in my old age :-)

OK got the new 3.7 card partitioned correctly, and I'm able to see it in Windows (at least the Fat32 BOOT partition)...the card in my Arpicade however is unreadable...it works, the pi boots and I can play games, cycle through the menus/emus, and AOMEI Partition magic sees it as a FAT32 BOOT/ Ext4 card...but I cannot access anything on the FAT32 part. Could it be password protected or locked somehow? I just need to get my roms off it, and any art or vid files used by the front-end.

The FAT partition will have been formatted in linux originally, I'm not sure why (and it doesn't always happen) but sometimes FAT32 partitions made in GParted on Linux are unreadable in Windows. I format the FAT partition on my partners Windows laptop for releases to make sure it will work fine. You could use a Linux live CD or a Virtual PC running Linux to access it and copy the files to your PC. Or you could use your network to access the files on the pi and copy them to your PC that way, setup would be required though. Or plug a USB stick and keyboard into the Pi power it up and copy the files across to the USB storage using the Midnight Commander file manager accessable from the service menu (USB keyboard will also be needed to use MC).

There may be other solutions or a way to make Windows read the card as is, I'm no Windows expert.

Well, thanks to a friend who knows Linux, I was able to copy everything off my original SD card onto a 32GB thumb drive - however it couldn't copy the files in /home/pi/.attract/stats/Arcade (there's several ".stat" files in there). Can anyone tell me what these are, and if they're needed (I'm hoping they will regenerate - if not I may try copying them again)

You should be fine without the stats files, unless I'm mistaken they just keep track of how many times you've launched particular games. They should regenerate.
