SD Card Question

*It is a good idea to back up your software in case of emergency. I recommend imaging your
whole SD card for easy restore should something go bad.*
when i first received the arpicade and the loaded sd card from highscoresaves i copied and pasted it to a dedicated folder on the desk top of my computer, i bought a new sd card,formatted it and copied and pasted from my folder into the new sd card, i then put it in the arpicade to see if it worked and nothing happened, my question is, does * imaging your whole SD card* mean something different than what i did? did i need to download and use a different formatter than what is standard in windows 10 ? please help thanks
