New roms not visable

Hi. I've added a bunch of new roms to mame 172 and 106 folders but they wont show up in the list. They are all standard games from the early 90's so I cant see compatibility being a problem.

Heres my process:

1. drop roms into mame 172 / 106 folders inside roms folder
2. eject memory card
3. run arcade romscan
4. reboot system

None of the roms show up.

Any help is appreciated,

What rom list are you looking at in the menu? If you're using the all games list you will want to combine the arcade and console gamelists after doing the arcade romscan to create the all games list.

If you're already combining the lists or you're only looking at the arcade list anyway it must be something else going wrong. It may be worth verifying the roms have copied onto the SD card properly.
