Re: Recording game input
would there still be any plans for this in close future or something more so very long termdee2eR wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:36 amI'd actually forgot all about it to be honest... thanks for reminding me, it would be a good feature to have. I'll look into compiling a new (or newish) version of WolfMAME on RPi, compiling vanilla MAME on RPi isn't hard (just time consuming) so unless the WolfMAME is weird somehow it shouldn't be an issue.
All my experience with WolfMAME was with version 106 a decade or so ago so I am curious...
Is Twin Galaxies still charging for submissions? It would be nice to submit a better Snow Bros score, my official score on TG is about one third of my PB...
Otherwise, if not TG, what arcade scoreboard(s) are people using now?
Re: Recording game input
I gave compiling WolfMAME 0.172 on RPi3 a go, but so far I haven't have any luck with it. Figured I'd start with 0.172 as the performance is OK and vanilla MAME 0.172 compiles on RPi (at least I can't remember doing anything special to compile it, it's been a few years...). I need to look into where I'm going wrong, alternately it's also possible it's not actually possible too. 2 of the top 10 results on duckduckgo for 'wolfmame on rpi' are from this thread...
I could also try a newer version but performance on RPi3 may not be great in a lot of games.
I haven't entirely given up on this, but I also don't think there will be a release in the immediate short term.
