Player 1 input shows Joy1 and Joy5 when configuring in MAME

Has anyone else noticed that when you map buttons in MAME the player 1 controls map as Joy1 Button X Joy5 Button X? I m using arpicade 3.9 with the 3/4 adaptor. Everything seems to work, just found it strange that it’s being detected as 2 inputs

It's just a quirk of the hotkey system, nothing to worry about. If you did not have the 4 player adaptor it would show as joy 1 and joy 3.
