Good Evening,

I would like to show you a strange issue I have detected testing Arpicade 3.9.
I have only included a complete romset of MAME 0.78 and I have realized after doing a scan of roms with the default program (ScanRoms_V007.sh) with the argument "arcade" that there was missing roms. All the Neogeo roms and some that I could identify like Galaga, Berzerk or Euro League (wc90b). About 2300 games are detected.
I have adapted sortRoms.sh which is in /home/pi/.attract/ to se if I can make it work with the new roms estructure of directories and this one detects all neogeo roms and the missing ones (Galaga, Berzerk, etc). About 4700 games are detected.

Attached you can find the file sortRoms.sh I have modified and Arcade_sortroms.txt and mame078_sortroms.txt (result of the scan of sortRoms.sh) and Arcade_scanroms.txt and mame078_scanroms.txt (result of the scan of ScanRoms_V007.sh).

Is there anyway of making default ScanRoms_V007.sh to detect Neogeo and missing roms?

All you really need to do is add any missing roms to /boot/launchers/aml/mame078.aml (in the same format as the rest of the file) anything not in the file is ignored by the scanRoms script.

I'm not sure why all those titles are missing from that file but most people will run those games in a newer emulator so I'm not surprised it hasn't been noticed before...

I really should have removed the old sortRoms.sh script, I didn't realize it was still there... ScanRoms007 is the current version and I recommend it over the old one as it is much much faster.

Is there anyway to download a complete aml file somewhere for 0.78 in order to have your scanroms detecting all the games?

They're generated from XML files, I must have used an incomplete 078 XML to generate the file...

the easiest way to add more to the aml file would be to add the contents of another aml file to the 078 one. 172 or 203 should contain pretty much everything.

FYI, you're better off running NEO GEO in FBA as it supports more games, although if you're trying to make the most of an 078 romset using FBA may not be practical.
