Yeah I have no idea why they aren't both working as they do on Windows pc. I'm pretty sure I didn't change anything that I didn't set back to default. Ill try what you suggested. Both spinner and trackball work tempest on a desktop pc running 3.9. The results when testing from pi, spinner is 0 and Trackball is 1. So you had both working on the pi or desktop like I did? Seems if they work on pc they should on pi. Guessing maybe a break in code? I have read that any break in advmame stops things from working...

HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!! ITS WORKING in 1.4 after your suggestion. Hoping to get it back in 3.9 someday, at least I know it wasnt just me!!
