unknown files in boot

I have 661 - FSCK****.REC files in my boot folder, what are these and why do they appear?

Not sure what's going on there, I don't have any of them in my boot folders.

hmmm interesting, they appear, I thought it was just how it was supposed to be

Does anyone else have them in their folder?

are the files large in size? any chance they filled the partition up? -- I'm wondering if this issue and the other one you're havinng with the AdvMAME games are related...

There was 200Mb left on the arpicade partition, I am stumped so I am burning a new SD as I type, will go through and configure and upload all my files again soon.
