Arcade punks image

Post by RichardTMNT » Thu Aug 12, 2021 12:44 pm

Hey guys!
Can I put any image I want on my Arpicade ?
There are some on arcade punks I would like to try. But before I buy the extra SD card I want to make sure it is possible.
I have a old early 90s SF2 cab.
Thanks!
Richard

You'l have to make sure it has the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi driver (or another GPIO input driver, there maybe more...) and is setup for your monitor and won't decide to change to an unwanted resolution when you launch a game. But except for that, no reason why not...

You may be better off copying the games or whatever you want off the other image and continuing to use ARpiCADE as it is already set up and made for low res cab use.

What're the features you're hoping to get on the new image, out of curiosity?

Just looking for a fancier looking menu etc.. most likely a bad idea. I didn’t try it!

In that case, good news: ARpiCADE uses Attract-Mode as the frontend. Plenty of fancy themes available.
