Can you suggest a video showing the wiring of jamma joysticks?
I did not build the cabinet.
This is something I need to learn.

the left side of the cabinet shares one common ground and that whole side is out
i do believe i have a bad ground

Unfortunately, I don't have a video to share.

Luckily, all your inputs can share one ground. I'd try connecting the 'left inputs' common ground to the ground from the working inputs, you should be able to do it from under the control panel at the buttons/joysticks. If it is a grounding issue this should be all you need to fix it up.

it worked. i am deeply grateful for the quick and easy hack
chaining the good ground over to the bad ground made the left side of the cabinet work
