I need some space (for games)

Post by Cyrax » Sun Sep 11, 2022 11:13 pm

Hello, I am new to ARpiCADE. I have now downloaded the image 4.3 and then created an SD with balenaEtcher. This has worked well so far. I have taken a 128 GB SD card. Now to my question: My SD card now looks like this: 2 partions were made out of it. The first partion has 2 GB and is BOOT. The second has 4.88 GB and is i guess for linux ?! and the remaining free space is not used at all and is unpartitioned.

If I now want to use a complete Romset that comes including CHD's on let's say 65 GB, how do I do that ?

Thanks

There's a great guide to resizing your SD card partitions by FrizzleFried found here:

I wouldn't really recommend using an entire MAME set but if you want to just put the roms etc. into the respective MAMEs rom folder in /boot/romsArcade/[mame version]/

I'd recommend trying 172 as it's my favourite MAME on RPi but if you're running 1000s of games you will need to use more than just one MAME version to get the best results you can.

ARpiCADE is made for RaspberryJAMMA. If you're using a different JAMMA adaptor it may work a different way.
