I was in low res & selected switch to low res now nothing on screen ?

Im using 4.3

Yeh so like a moron I selected switch to low res in the select menu…
Even though I was in low res!

It restarted and now no image ?
No splash nada.

Can I change it back in “config.text”
in boot?


I have un commented the hi res modes in
Config.text.. ( 960x480i. & 640x480)

I’m in hdmi_group=2
2nd monitor hdmi_group:1=2
hdmi_mode:1=87



As I need to get back to low res.


Do I need to change any thing in
Launcher too ?

And to un comment is just to remove the #?

To uncomment you just delete the #.

For video modes only select one in the config file and make sure the other 2 are commented out. 960x480i is actually the default low res mode, boots in 480i and uses 240p (or similar) for the games. 640x480 is the high res mode. I'm guessing for your Pi4 you need to use the 240p mode, the latest revision of Pi4 cannot do 480i (early Pi4s can).

No need to change the hdmi_group or hdmi_mode settings, just the resolution line.

If that doesn't help let me know and I can upload a fresh copy of config.txt for you.

I used the 2022 pi 4 update
And all good now

Except attract text is missing half pixles
And mame in game tab menu is massive ?
