Hi Guys
I was hoping to update my Arcade to an 8Gb Pi4. I downloaded what I thought was the latest Image (230715-ARpiCADE_4_vers3.2.img) and used Balena to copy it to a 64Gb Micro SD Card.
Upon booting, I am seeing that the Version is too old for my Pi4.
I wanted to get it running and copy the ROMS from my 3B Card over, but can't seem to get past the Error message.
Any suggestions, I will post the exact message if needed, I just put it away for tonight.
Regards
Shawn

Did you try the extra files provided in the release for the new Pi4s that don't boot on the software?
Re: Difficulties with RasPi4 8GB and Arpicade_4_V3.2
Would this work?
update the Raspberry Pi operating system, type sudo apt-get update followed by sudo apt-get upgrade and then restart. The first command sudo apt-get update downloads any new packages that can be added to the Raspberry Pi's library of applications.

No, that is very unlikely to work. Most likely you will end up with a completely non working SD card.
See my previous comment. If you haven't tried the extra compatibility files as described in the release thread that is the way to make it boot. If you already tried that and it isn't working please comfirm as I will need to find another Pi4 workaround...

Re: Difficulties with RasPi4 8GB and Arpicade_4_V3.2
Thanks for your help, I think my biggest acheivement was reading the notes about the extra files needed.
I managed to get it booted just now, and I copied the ROMS from my Pi3b and all the previews etc, and most of the Arcade works, and most of the Sega ones do, but a few are a bit screwy, or just missing the files.
So it's not too bad, I can remove the SD Card and tinker some more, but at least I have got it mostly working.
I used my Pi400 with the white keyboard to read the roms to the SD card. using the OS to make it easier.
