Raspberry Pi3 B+ support
Will the ArPiCade and image support the new Raspberry Pi3 B+?
Re: Raspberry Pi3 B+ support
The next image will. Existing images from before the announcement of Pi3b+ do not have the needed boot code and firmware to boot on the new hardware.

Cool...thanks for the update.

Re: Raspberry Pi3 B+ support
So in the future will there be 2 releases of Arpicade software? Older Pi and the newest Pi?
Re: Raspberry Pi3 B+ support
I don't intend to manage 2 versions of the software if I can avoid it. It would just add a lot more work and complexity.
The 'new' new version (not yet released) can run on Pi3b+ or Pi3 (still need to check Pi2). A few little details to sort out but it should be coming soon.
3.811 (current release) supports Pis 2 and 3.
No Pi1 versions have been supported (directly) since ARpiCADE version 3.0, I've never owned a zero but it would also be unsupported as it's basically an overclocked Pi1.

Results so far on RPi3b+
very similar to Pi3, tiny bit faster, tiny bit more power use (still under 1 amp with no USB devices attached). Currently in the new version of the software that supports the 3b+ splash screen and wifi are broken , both of which broke with some updates so hopefully I will figure them out soon.
