retro arch (fba ) jpac controls

hello all im using a jpac ,in neo geo games using fba the controls arent working ,when i press f1 on keyboard retroarch start but i cant control the menu with keyboard or jpac controls ???
controls with jpac in mame 160 work fine
any help pls
