Hello all.

Can anyone check to see if Mame 192 is saving high scores? 3.82 build.

I moved a few roms over quite awhile back and notice they are not saving them. Maybe I should ask if anything changed with the later releases as I am not that familiar with anything after 174.

I have not checked if there is a hiscore.dat file in the 192 directory.... or a "hi" file.

Can anyone check it out? Thanks in advance.

192 doesn't have the high score support activated (I didn't know how the hiscores worked at the time of release). The high score support method had changed from the old patch MAME method to a built in LUA script and it's not set in the mame.ini file. You may also need to add a hi directory in /home/pi/mame192/ (I'm not sure). In /home/pi/mame192/mame.ini find the plugin line (under scripting options) and set it to hiscore:

plugin hiscore

BUT FIRST READ THIS NEXT BIT! - MAME 0.192 is not going to be in the next release. It is being replaced by 0.203 (the current, as I write this, version of MAME), I have already activated the high score support for 203.
