I've been meaning to ask this question for some time now, just never got around to it.

It seems that about 50% of the time I remove my memory card... take it to my PC... do work on it... then return it to the ARpiCADE... at first boot, it will boot... hit the intro screen... then BEFORE getting to the LOADING screen, it will reset the unit... hit the intro screen again... then on to the loading screen and all is good... but at least half the time it will re-boot before going in to Attract Mode...

...but once it does it once, it never does it again until I remove the card again at which time it will then be a 50/50 (or so) shot that it happens again.

What's up with that?

Not sure as it doesn't happen to me but it may be something to do with how you're accessing the SD card on your PC. Is it only when you've used Paragon?

My main rig is a Linux box, I don't have that happen, so I'm sort of guessing here.

Not entirely sure why it happens. I've been beta testing the latest changes to the SDArcade mod... of the last 7 or 8 times I've gone from the PC to the ARpiCADE, it's exhibited the issue probably 3 or 4 of the 7 or 8 times... right around 50 percent. I only was accessing the I drive... no linux drive access at all.

I have three different ARpiCADE units... running in three different cabinets... and all three exhibit the exact same behavior... so I can only guess it's something I am doing or the software over here is doing.

What IS the reboot doing? If the system senses a file missing or something, will it re-install that file(s) or something of that nature perhaps?

Beta testing mods on the SDArcade layout???

Maybe something like.... the old programmable pcb?? I wish I know how to alter the layou.nut file a little better. Hell, I wish I knew how to make a background with transparency!!

That multi-williams layout wouldn't be too difficult to do...
