Hi all,
the title my seem a little convoluted so bear with me.
Just got my Arpicade setup going and want to check which version of mame gives the best result for whatever game i'm playing. The problem is as it stands, if I put a copy of the same ROM in every folder for each version of mame attract mode just lists the same game multiple times with no differentiation as to which version of mame it is being played on.
Is there a way to set it up so I can select a version of mame as its own system then launch from there?
Cheers, Lee

sorry for the slow reply, been in hospital a few days.
Easiest way to check which rom is in which MAME version is to have a keyboard plugged in and press 'e' to open the edit menu for the currently highlighted rom, all the info will be there.
You could set up extra menu lists for each MAME version, but I don't really recommend doing so as you probably won't want multiple copies of games once you have figured out where they run best... Or maybe you do? If you do you will need to add new displays using Attract-Modes menu (tab on keyboard or cab test switch to open that menu).
