Hello, I heard it was possible to set up the Attract-Mode frontend to work in a 3 sided cocktail. Could it be set up that you would just have to push a button to switch between vertical and horizontal games similar to the 1033 in 1 ?

It could be done but at the moment there's not a way to automate that. AdvMAME supports mapping a button to screen rotation, not sure about the other MAME versions (but if not it could still be done just more work).
You could also setup the launchers so vertical games played using the vertical monitor orientation and set(s) of controls and horizontal games use the horizontal setup without any need for an extra button. Again this isn't an automated option so it may be a little tricky.
