I've noticed there is a "default" wheel ... an image that will pop up saying "no wheel available" when there isn't a wheel associated with a ROM...
...however there is no default snap as if the snap is missing for a game, that area remains blank. Is it possible there IS supposed to be a default snap somewhere and that there just isn't a file for it on the memory card?

I'm not certain but I think if you add a default.png to the snap folder it will be used. If that doesn't work try naming it after the emulator(s) (based on the naming convention used in the folder /home/pi/.attract/emulators ). Thats how the marquees work so I would assume snaps will act the same.

if I add .MP4 files to /Snap, does it take precedence over the .PNG files?

yes, video files should be used automatically in place of the images.

Noticed that as well, I just looked online or created my own using PhotoShop. Also found some that were actually there but spelled wrong. I used the "all games" text file as a reference for spelling. All my games are now complete with snaps, vid, marquees/wheels. Love the V2.2 Friz!
