Irem ... a company rarely mentioned in the arcade restoration community. Having remembered Dragon Breed and wanting to include it in my "miscellaneous" layout, I dove in and took a look and was quite surprised at the history and vast number of, well, quite excellent games from Irem. Why is the company rarely even discussed (at least over at KLOV, for example.)?
Atari... Williams...Bally/Midway. Those companies are brought up constantly. Then the more obscure... Exidy... Cinamatronics... even Data East from time to time...
...rarely if ever... Irem.
