Adding Emulators (mame32 or mame+)

Is it possible to add other versions of MAME (older versions). I have a romset for... I think it's mame32+ and was wondering if it would be possible to add the emulator.

You can add emulators but you may struggle to find older versions of MAME than MAME4all that will run on a Pi. You'd also need to find out which version of MAME32 you have, the 32 probably isn't the version of MAME it's based off (it signifys 32bit I think for the DOS / Windows differences back when - could be wrong was a very long time ago I used MAME32).

Along with compiling for RPi you'll need to add a launcher and add it to the romscanner and menus. To be honest I think your time would be better spent updating your existing roms or finding new roms as the older the MAME version the less acurate the emulation (as a general rule).

MAME4all is based on MAME 0.37b5 so it's a really old set, maybe just try what you have in it.

EDIT: you cannot directly use MAME32 on RPi, it's a Windows X86 build they are not architecturally compatible. Older version would have to be MAME or another variation that could work on RPi and Linux.
