M.U.L.E. in C64 emulation graphics missing?

Post by aod » Fri Apr 10, 2020 4:50 am

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but it seems like closest match. I've installed Arpicade 3.9 and I've put the M.U.L.E. D64 file where it needs to be. Everything works until you get to the map. Unfortunately, there are no mountains and the river is not there so it is basically unplayable. Everything else seems to be working fine with it though. I figured it might be a bug in the core so I downloaded the latest core from http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/armhf/ and even tried from http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/li ... 7-neon-hf/. Both of the c64 vice cores when it goes to load just crash back to the menu screen. Am I missing something here? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Nevermind, I found it. I went back to the original vice core and then I went into the GUI options once the game was on. I turned on external color palette and set the palette to pepto-ntsc I believe it was that was overall the best looking. Once I did that you can now see the mountains and the river. Strange, it is almost like the default palette doesn't have enough colors or something.
