These are the settings I've tried changing in advmame 3.9 rc file:

device_mouse raw
device_raw_mousedev[0] /dev/input/mouse0
device_raw_mousedev[1] /dev/input/mouse1
device_raw_mousetype[0] ps2
device_raw_mousetype[1] ps2

input_map[p1_trackballx] mouse[0,x]
input_map[p1_trackbally] mouse[0,y]
input_map[p2_trackballx] mouse[1,x]
input_map[p2_trackbally] mouse[1,y]


They did not work. Only thing I haven't tried is changing the input map paddle settings, they are still auto. Maybe Tempest sees it as a paddle???

I will try the command prompt suggestion to see which is which.

Here's a thought as well, if I leave the settings as is and try a 2 player game with the one spinner maybe the settings are flipped? Ill let player one die and test player 2.
