Mame Tab menu stretched

Can someone tell me how to fix this tab menu without messing up anything else. It's stretched out too far to use.
I have everything running pretty except this so I'm scared to mess with things. Any suggestions?

Which MAME verison has the issue? Also any particular game or just everything in that MAME?
Also, also, are you using ARpiCADE 3.X or 4.3? Or some other version... I'm happy to look into it but the image you tried to post came up as the word image...

I have a bunch of games in the mame 106 folder that are running fine and the tab menue works great (advancedmame). The rest of the games are from folder mame 172. These are the ones that I can't see the tab menu; it is stretched out and I can only see the upper left corner of the menu.

Yes it's a vertical CRT
