GORF playability issues

GORF playability issues

I found samples for GORF but no ROM. If I remember correctly I put ROM version 156 in the 106 folder. Game play and sound starts out normal and then gets laggy, choppy, slow, and the sounds are horrible. Any suggestions? I have download a complete non merged 078 ROM set but haven't tried that version of GORF in the 078 folder yet.
