Tring to play one of my favorite games Space Duel. When starting the shields are always on. I think button three is supposed to control them. I've tried other games with button three and it worked fine. Is there a setting for is?

I'm not sure.

There may be a dipswitch that controls b3 behaviour for that game, if so you should be able to adjust it in MAMEs menus (press start+joy right to open the menu during gameplay).

It may be the version of MAME it is running in is not accurate, in which case it may be better in a newer version of MAME.

Or you may just need to adjust the controls just for that game which can also be done through MAMEs in game menus (start+joy right).

If you figure it out please post the result/fix for others.

Thanks for the tip to check dipswitch's. My #3 switch is bad. I put another one in from another position and it worked. It's weird that it worked in other games though. When I ohm it out it act strange. Thanks for the help!
