MAME 2003 AUDIO

Post by FrizzleFried » Wed May 09, 2018 3:06 am

I managed to somehow screw up the audio in MAME2003...

Somehow the audio device got changed...and now it's disappeared... and it won't let me select anything for that field only brings up an input box that I can't type in to because my keyboard doesn't work in MAME2003 for some strange reason ONLY the stick....

I check the INI and I can't see the setting in question there... and now every time I go in to MAME2003 settings the AUDIO DEVICE is simply nothing.

:(

You will need to edit the config file for MAME2003 / 0.78 manually. The file is at /home/pi/.config/retroarch/mame078_libretro.cfg you will want this setting:
audio_driver = "alsathread"

I have no idea why it doesn't re-appear in the menus as an option if you change it but I have had that happen to me too.
