My BOOT/FIRMWARE/LAUNCHERS (without .bak) has nothing in it. I assume when the game mounts the drive(s) in the system, it moves the files from the FAT32 drive over?
In any case... I should only be modifying the file in the FAT32 folder... right?

Re: Naomi Sync Issue
By the way... I checked and...
use240p=("ausfache" "azumanga" "capsnk" "cvs2mf" "dolphin" "fotns" "ggx" "ggx15" "ggxxac" "gwing2" "kofnw" "kofxi" "kov7sprt" "mbaa" "meltybld" "mslug6" "mvsc2" "sfz3ugd")
That is what appears in my NAOMI.SH file. Unfortunately... I can say for 100% sure that MVSC2 and GWING2 in that list both curl. I wonder if I comment out that line what would happen.

Re: Naomi Sync Issue
Welp... oddly... evidently it's 240P mode that is curling. When I comment out the USE240P line, all of a sudden the NAOMI games that curled (MvC2, GigaWing 2, etc) look great. Upon deep inspection (mostly by going in to RetroArch (thats what it's called, right?) where the menu is... it appears I am running 480i mode as I can see the slight giggle of interlacing... but in-game it's not noticeable at all.
THAT SAID... how do I adjust/modify for that 240P curl? I've noticed a small number of MAME games seem to exhibit the same ... I assume they're also running that specific resolution.
Would that be an adjustment i'd have to make to the horizontal frequency on the monitor itself or... ?
BTW - I wonder if this is just a situation where the game itself is set for 31K? NAOMI itself runs both in 15K and 31K modes... I wonder if it's set to run 31K and then when we force to 15K it causes the curl?

Re: Naomi Sync Issue
Not quite. It mounts the FAT32 partition as /boot/firmware/ - it's possible to specify mounting points on Linux (and probably other OSs too). For example on my main box I have a main SSD with the OS on it and a second SSD which is mounted as /home/ - this lets me keep my files and user settings etc. even if I have to re-install my OS entirely.FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 2:20 pmMy BOOT/FIRMWARE/LAUNCHERS (without .bak) has nothing in it. Re: Naomi Sync Issue
Did you try with the whole system on 240p only at all? I tested Naomi 240p with the system at 240p, it's the only difference I can think of unless I have a different mode on my test build. The 240p change I posted fixed the curl entirely for me on my bench PVM.FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 2:33 pmWelp... oddly... evidently it's 240P mode that is curling. It's the resolution (modeline), not the emulator settings. It may be tune out able with your monitor chassis adjustments but that would be down to the individual monitor.
As far as I know real Naomi hardware can do 480i and 480p... I don't think a real Naomi can do 240p (or no-one programmmed a game for it that does it(?), I think DC could do 240p so the Naomi hardware is probably capable of it too) - although most of the 2d games on it do look better at 240p (especially the Street Fighter games).

Re: Naomi Sync Issue
I was going to come in to say that the native 15K resolution for NAOMI is 640x480i...
